Top Beaches in La Digue
Anse Source d’Argent
The top beach in La Digue is Anse Source d’Argent. It is one of the worlds most photographed beaches. It is famous for its unspoilt unique stunningly beautiful granite boulders and its crystal-clear waters.
The enchanting Anse Source d’Argent can get busy. So it is advisable to get there early in the morning and when the sun sets. This is also when the light is softer for better photography and video.
Note that it is the only non-free beach in Seychelles. A fee is collected at the entrance to L’Union Estate which provides access to Anse Source d’Argent.
Anse Cocos
Anse Cocos got its name from the string of coconut trees along its beach. The curved Anse Cocos is known for its pellucid water and natural Rockpool. Since it is remote, it takes about a 20-minute hike to this beach from Grand Anse. But it is really worth it. From the beach you have a breath-taking view of the ocean and the surrounding lush vegetation. There is a chance to spot the oceans most beautiful sharks known as baby black tip reef sharks close to the shore.
Anse Severe
Anse Severe is located north of the La Digue jetty. It is one of the best snorkeling spot in La Digue. It is also the most accessible beach in La Digue and an opportunity to enjoy a remarkable bike ride. Bikini Bottom, a fresh fruit bar is located right by the beach. It is a unique spot for a quick refreshment before heading to the sea.
