Mahe Island

Mahe is the largest granitic and main island in the Seychelles archipelago. It is home to the Seychelles International Airport, Zil Air Helicopter base, Cat Cocos Ferry Terminal and the capital ‘Victoria’.

Mahe also hosts and boasts the widest choice of luxury hotels and guest houses.

Mahe is about 28 km (17 miles) long, 8 km (5 miles) wide. It covers an area of 154 km² (59 sq. miles). It takes about three hours for to you drive around much of the island. However, it’s best to take one full day to visit and enjoy the many beaches, viewpoints, Victoria Capital etc.

Victoria Attractions are the Botanical Gardens, Clock Tower, Sir Selwyn-Clarke Market, National History Museum, Main Cathedral, Souvenir Shops etc.
